Nick’s Vision
The government should focus on guaranteeing freedom for its citizens. I love this country and this state. I have a deep respect for who and what came before us. I believe The American Dream is equality of opportunity. During my military career, I traveled often and lived in many different countries. Living in these diverse cultures, I developed a profound admiration for our country and the unique opportunities it affords its citizens.
As an American, I believe in empowering individuals not government. Those closest to any problem have the insights into the causes and the incentives to solve those problems better than some distant Madison or Washington bureaucrat.
The federal government has grown too large and too often gets in the way of progress and freedom.
The federal government should not act to command and control our lives. Instead, it should create and foster an environment that allows American creativity, diversity, individuality, and problem solving to prosper. In this environment, American ingenuity will take over.
The same goes for our government here in Madison. Article 22 in the Wisconsin State Constitution – the frugality clause – states that “The blessings of a free government can only be maintained by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality and virtue, and by frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.”
In the last 8 years, we have drifted from these principles. A state budget which has grown 50% larger over that time. Yearly property tax increases. Large fee increases on farmers and the agriculture community. Energy costs which are now the 2nd highest in the Midwest.
We must return people to lead Wisconsin’s government who will expand freedom and restrict the role state government plays in people’s lives to realign with the founders of this great state.
I want Wisconsin to lead. I want this state to become a magnet for talent and innovation. I want prosperity and progress for my fellow Wisconsinites. I want to put Americans First.
On Wisconsin!
Unleash The Wisconsin Economy
Increase the energy supply to drive down the cost of energy. Build more housing. Return Manufacturing to Wisconsin. Incentivize businesses to open and expand. Train and Protect a world class workforce in Wisconsin. Put American workers first. Put Wisconsin’s workers first.
Protect the Farmer. Encourage and enhance their ability to produce. Train the next generation of farmers.
Healthcare
Career politicians at the federal level have utterly destroyed the medical system in this country. We have the greatest medical professionals in the world. To fix our medical system, America must limit government involvement. The focus of the medical system should always be quality medical care at an affordable price. Rediscover individual choice in our medical care and return this choice to the most local level. The individual and the doctors are the ones closest to the problem. Design our medical system so that it is focused on freedom and returns the rights to the individual to decide how they want to use and pay for their care.
Education
Culture, Cost, Career. School Culture must focus on teaching kids how to think not what to think. Bring down the Cost of education. Prepare kids for a Career. Protect the children while they are at school. Remove woke from schools.
Regulations
Too many regulations hurt Americans, our families, our livelihoods and our way of life. Wisconsin is drastically overregulated. 165,000 state regulations not to mention all the federal regulations that create unnecessary burdens on Wisconsinites. The result is decreasing freedom and declining standard of living. In 2027, leadership in Madison must review each and every regulation. If the regulation causes more harm than good to Wisconsinites, eliminate it.
Security
Restore Law & Order. End Sanctuary Cities. Enforce immigration law. Rescind the soft on crime policies of the last 8 years which have our communities less safe.
Government Spending
The federal government funds itself in only one of three ways: taxation, debt, and money creation. Anytime government takes money from its citizens – in one of the three ways listed above – individual Americans have that much less for themselves and their families. In Wisconsin, the state government can only borrow or tax. Cut spending. Reduce the size of the state government.
Return the money to Wisconsinites.
Family
The family is the nucleus of our society. It requires representatives to protect it and nurture it so that our nation will benefit from healthy supportive families.
Taxes
Every dollar the government takes from its citizens in the form of taxes is one less earned dollar that our American citizens can use to take care of his or her own family. Taxes on individuals and business should be as low as possible. The money an American earns while working is his or her money. The money does not belong to the government.
Leadership
The mark of a great leader is not how many people follow but how many new leaders he or she inspires and creates.
America is the greatest country in the world. The American dream is alive and well. I want to unleash the creativity, passion, hard work and greatness of the American citizen.
Election Integrity
American citizens only vote. Voter ID to vote. Clean voter rolls. Elections run by an elected representative instead of an unaccountable election commission.
